The restaurant of Argentine chef Emiliano Schobert in the city of Malaga receives for the first time this award that rewards establishments with the best quality/price ratio. In addition, Blossom renews the 2024 recommendation of the MICHELIN Guide, which confirms the solidity and creativity of its culinary proposal.

Blossom, a new Bib Gourmand on Michelin Guide Spain 2024

Yesterday the MICHELIN Guide Gala was held at the Auditori Fòrum of the Barcelona International Convention Center, where the 2024 winners of the MICHELIN Stars, Green Stars, Bib Gourmands and special distinctions from Spain were announced. In this context, Blossom was awarded for the first time with the Bib Gourmand award, which highlights the establishment's price/quality ratio. This has been delivered since 1997 and this year in Spain 23 new restaurants were added to the 229 that already have this “seal”. Furthermore, for the second consecutive year, Blossom was selected as one of the MICHELIN Guide's recommended ones, a great recognition for its culinary proposal. “Both the Bib Gourmand award and the renewal of the recommendation are great news for my team and my family and are, above all, a new injection of energy and motivation to continue growing,” explains chef Emiliano Schobert. “Opening my own restaurant in Spain is one of the steps on my ladder of dreams. After four years of great dedication and sacrifice, Blossom is establishing itself. This fills me with pride and joy. It is a first step on a path that will be long,” he adds.

The restaurant, opened in October 2019, proposes a style of modern fusion cuisine, where each dish is a travel story through techniques and ingredients that evoke other culinary cultures. The Mediterranean coast makes a surprising and inspiring contribution to Blossom's cuisine. The sun, the sea, the mountains and its agriculture, everything is intimately involved in the work plan where the focus is on the origin and treatment of each ingredient, with beauty, respect and balance. At the same time, in the design of the menu, it is possible to glimpse some Latin American touch, an unequivocal origin of Schobert, who represented his country twice at the prestigious Bocuse d'Or World Cup of Cuisine. The Argentine chef is also director of the El Obrador Escuela de Arte Culinario in the city of San Carlos de Bariloche, in Argentine Patagonia.

With more than 25 years of experience, Emiliano Schobert has known how to put together a great kitchen and dining room team to display art in every bite and a touch of seasonality in every dish.
Blossom has only ten tables and is located in the historic center of Malaga, a few meters from its Cathedral, on Strachan Street. Its decoration is modern and recreates an intimate and charming atmosphere. The outdoor terrace is the perfect place to enjoy their menu, in a relaxed and pleasant environment.
